National Erasmus+ office in Kyrgyzstan on October 3-4, 2018 held a regional seminar on "The role of Accreditation in quality assurance in Universities", which was attended by the Director of the Agency for accreditation of educational programs and organizations (AAEPO), doctor of technical Sciences, Professor Baktybek Ismailov.

 The purpose of the seminar: to familiarize with the experience and best practices of the European Union in ensuring the quality of Universities and to expand knowledge and skills in this area, to further develop recommendations for legislative support of the accreditation system in each country participating in the seminar: Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.

During the seminar, the issues were Accreditation as a tool of improving the quality of education and direction of the vector of development of higher education in the field of quality assessment.

The main speakers of the seminar were: Ms. Maria Kelo (Maria Kelo), Director, ENQA, Belgium and Mr. Rafael Awori (Rafael Llavori), head of the Department of National Agency for quality assessment and accreditation, ANECA, Spain.

All were welcomed by the Deputy Minister of education and science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. K. G. Kozhobekov
