The Accreditation Agency for Educational Programs and Organizations (AAEPO)
was recognized in 2022 by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
In 2022, AAEPO was also recognized by the WFME and the Government of the
State of Curaçao, giving it the right to conduct Accreditation in the State of
Curaçao.
The first feature of AAEPO, unlike other agencies, is that it emerged from
the GIZ Vocational Training and Employment Promotion Program from 2009-2016,
building on German and European experience in Independent Accreditation.
The second feature is the long-standing experience of AAEPO core staff in
the field of vocational education.
Thirdly, AAEPO's core staff members have received Accreditation training in
Germany, Belgium and the USA.
AAEPO also strives to continuously utilize International experience and
research results for continuous improvement of its activities.
This year, an International Accreditation agreement was signed between St.
Martinus University, AAEPO and representatives of the government of Curaçao.
AAEPO conducted Institutional and Programmatic Accreditation of St.
Martinus University in Willemstad this fall. The comprehensive assessment
covered the various works of the university and its programs to meet the
rigorous criteria established by AAEPO.
As a result of this
assessment, on December 4, 2023, the Accreditation Council affirmed the
compliance of St. Martinus University and its programs with International standards
and Accredited the University and its programs for a period of 5 years.
Dr. Murali
Ginjupalli, Rector of St. Martinus University and Mr. Kamendra Dahat,
Director of AAEPO Dr.
Baktybek Ismailov officially handed over certificates on the results of
International Program and Institutional Accreditation to Dr. Murali Ginjupalli.
