Institutional accreditation
Institutional accreditation is a procedure for assessing the level of quality of an educational organization as a whole in order to recognize its conformity with the requirements and criteria established not less than the requirements and criteria determined by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Institutional accreditation is the accreditation of the entire organization, covering the whole system, and focusing on the administration aspects. It often involves in-depth study of a particular sample of educational programs.
Institutional accreditation is completed by accredited programs that are listed in the framework of accreditation. The list may include all programmes offered by the organization, not only those that have been selected. Institutional accreditation confirms that the organization has the capacity and ability to control quality and ensure the quality of all of its programs.
Minimum requirements for educational organizations and programs (framework evaluation standards) approved by Kyrgyz Government, may be used for institutional accreditation and program accreditation.
There are applied criteria to the sample of educational programs with regard to program development and evaluation during the institutional accreditation.
