Independent accreditation in the Kyrgyz Republic was introduced on September 1, 2016, although according to the document "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Education" dated June 6, 2013, it was supposed to begin on September 1, 2014. The accreditation procedure is recognized as the main tool for ensuring the quality of education.
